Get to Know Armin Jahr! Oak Hill's Director of Youth Ministry & Pastoral Support
What’s your favorite sports team? Locally, Hillcrest Comets (go alma mater!) but nationally, Seattle Sounders (soccer). Do you play any instruments? Yes, I play piano and trombone. Someday I hope to play guitar. What’s your go-to coffee order? Not a coffee fan, but I love chai tea, apple cider, or craft sodas. What fictional character do you wish were real? Couldn’t we all use a Gandalf in our lives? He’s a Christ-figure in a way, so we have the better thing in Jesus! What are you most looking forward to about being the Youth Director? Building relationships and connecting students to God’s Word and His church. What’s your Favorite worship song right now? Praises by Elevation Rhythm If you could ask Jesus to change one problem in the world today, which problem would you pick? I believe Jesus is working in the midst of all the world’s problems, but not always in ways that we see broadcasted. I want to see deliverance and justice for victims of human trafficking. In your opinion, why is faith so important to teens right now? So much of today’s world is superficial, artificial, and critical. Faith in Jesus Christ is essential for understanding who you are, discerning truth, and experiencing love and grace. It’s the key to unlocking true identity and true joy.
